A decade full of commitment, support and lived solidarity – all these and more were marked recently by Hope for the Future with an unforgettable 10-Year Anniversary! More than 160 guests came along to honour this special milestone and celebrate together. The event was hugely successful, and offered a warm atmosphere including live music, culinary delicacies and an exciting tombola.
A live band offered the best entertainment, as Natascha Flamisch and Arthur Fandl rocked the Hope-for-the-Future stage. The guests were thrilled by the music.
There was also huge enthusiasm during the tombola, which attracted hopeful winners with attractive prizes. Thanks to generous donations, winners were able to take home a variety of prizes, including regional specialities from Gemüse Hütter, a professional photoshoot, a personal coaching session and a relaxing wellness holiday. There were high levels of excitement and enjoyment as the prizewinners’ names were drawn, ensuring many happy faces.
As well as the celebrations, of course, the spotlight was on the social commitment of Hope for the Future. A specially laid-out table presented lovingly handcrafted products created by clients of Hope for the Future. The high-quality creative pieces were hugely popular amongst guests, and the revenue will help support our work at Hope for the Future.
For ten years now, Hope for the Future has been dedicated to helping people in Austria who are, or were, working in prostitution and are seeking a real change from their exploitative life situation. As well as this, the organisation offers support to those affected by human trafficking, particularly if they too are dependent on exploitative working conditions and seeking a way out. With advice, support and practical help, Hope for the Future creates perspectives and opens up new opportunities.
In an exciting podium discussion, it was clearly highlighted how important fluid cooperation is. Because change can only be achieved by people who give others a second chance.
The 10-year anniversary was not only a reason to celebrate but also an opportunity to showcase and carry forward the commitment of Hope for the Future. The great success of the event shows that solidarity and community are essential building blocks for a more just society. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this special evening possible!
